The 25 de Marzo Multipurpose Service Cooperative was founded in 2008 in the municipality of San Juan de Río Coco in the department of Madriz. Currently it has 92 members, 23 women and 69 men, who produce coffee in different areas of the municipality, such as the communities of Las Grietas, La Dalia, El Bálsamo, El Varillal, El Naranjo, El Majaste, Las Brisas, Samarkanda and El Achiote. Organic and Fair Trade certified quality coffee is produced on a total production area of 283.47 hectares, with a production volume of 5,805.45 golden coffee bags per coffee bag for export.
